Usage Instructions for UF2000 Odour & Stain Remover
General instructions (for specific applications, please see below):
• Determine the location of the urine. If it is difficult to determine the exact location of the urine, please use our urine stain detector.
• Spray directly on the urine affected area. The entire affected area has to be covered with UF2000. Make sure that sufficient UF2000 is sprayed on the urine affected area and allow it to soak in properly. The quantity UF2000 should be at least equal to the estimated amount of urine.
• Wait a while. Do not scrub or rub it in.
• The treated area should be allowed to dry naturally.
To remove urine odour from stone or concrete with UF2000
Untreated stone or concrete look as if they are solid surfaces, but in fact they are porous, and easily absorb urine through many small openings. This means that the urine can easily enter very deep into stone or concrete, which makes the odour removal process more difficult. To obtain the best possible result, please follow these steps.
Preparation:
• Do not use other (chemical) cleaning liquids or masking products!
• Make sure that the surface is completely dry.
• If there are remains of carpet glue on the floor, they will have to be removed first.
• Sweep or dust the affected surface
Application:
• Spray the UF2000 abundantly on (saturate) the urine affected area by using the trigger spray bottle or a low pressure spray bottle. (plant sprayer or pesticide sprayer) Make sure that the amount of UF2000 is at the least the same amount as the estimated amount of urine.
• Cover the affected area for 1 or 2 hours with a plastic sheet to prevent immediate evaporation, allowing the UF2000 to penetrate into the concrete or stone.
• It is possible that with the first use of UF2000 on an old urine stain, the odour may become more intense at first. This means that the urine is slowly dissolving and coming up to the surface.
• Remove the plastic and allow the affected area to dry.
• Apply UF2000 once more. Allow the spot to dry well for 1 or 2 hours (depending on the temperature, drying time may vary).
• Repeat these steps every 1 or 2 hours (depending on drying time), applying UF2000 until the urine smell is completely gone.
• After the odour and the stains are removed, use a small amount of water to clean any remaining residue and dab it with some paper (kitchen) towel or a dry cloth..
To remove urine odour from wooden floors with UF2000
Urine stains in wooden or hardwood floors are the most difficult stains to remove, especially when the wood has become darker because of repeated exposures to urine.
The darker spots indicate that there is a concentration of dried urine salts (urine crystals), and also that the wood is already damaged by the acids in the urine.
By repeating the treatment several times, UF2000 can remove the odour completely and it can also remove a large part of the dried salt crystals.
However, the product cannot repair the damage that has already been caused to the wood. In most cases, by carefully sanding and with a new treatment of wax or lacquer, the stain can be made acceptable again.
Before sanding and treating the stain with wax or lacquer, first treat the urine affected area with UF2000. By treating urine affected area first, it will become easier to repair the affected area at a later stage.
By using UF2000 the urine odour will disappear. Dark stains will be less visible and it will be easier to treat the floor by sanding and varnishing it, making it look as if it was new again. Often after using UF2000 the floor will be cleaned sufficiently and no further treatment will be necessary.
The following instructions are for use on a floor with multiple urine spots.
• Start by spraying each of the urine affected areas with UF2000.
• Then apply UF2000 on the entire floor.
• Cover the wet floor with a piece of plastic to prevent the spray from evaporating immediately. After applying the UF2000 spray, the urine odour may become a bit stronger at first. This is because the urine is dissolving and being drawn to the surface.
• Remove the plastic after approximately 30 minutes and dry the floor with (paper) towels.
• Repeat the treatment after 30 minutes until the urine odour has disappeared completely. Each treatment will improve the condition of the surface of the floor, making the dark stains become lighter and smaller, until all urine is removed completely.
• Treat the urine affected areas separately until all stains are almost completely removed or have become lighter, which means that the urine has been removed.
• Allow the floor to dry.
• After the last treatment, clean the floor with water and dry it.
Removing urine odour from carpeting or fabric furniture with UF2000
IMPORTANT!!
Always check beforehand that the material that is to be treated will retain its colour, by testing the product in an inconspicuous area!
For recent urine stains::
Preparation:
• Determine the location of the urine. If it is difficult to determine the exact location of the urine, please use our urine stain detector.
• Do not use other (chemical) detergents or masking agents. Also do not use shampoo. If you plan to shampoo or clean your carpet, then do so after you have removed both urine odour and urine stains with UF2000.
• First remove as much urine as possible by dabbing with kitchen towel. Do not press with your shoe, as you may further spread traces of urine in your carpeting or rug. Preferably use protective plastic gloves. Use your hands to press the kitchen towel, and afterwards thoroughly wash your hands with soap.
Application:
• Using a trigger spray bottle or low pressure pump spray bottle (plant sprayer or pesticide sprayer) spay to saturate the affected area, and any underlying layers. For optimum results use as much UF2000 as there is urine.
• Allow the UF2000 to draw into everywhere that the urine has affected the material.
• Leave to dry naturally.
• Once dry, remove any residue by dabbing the affected area with a paper (kitchen) towel and a little water. It is important to do this, since the residue can otherwise attract dirt.
For old, dried urine stains:
It is possible that repeated urine applications have damaged the colour of your carpet of fabric. Even complete urine removal with UF2000 cannot repair this damage.

• Cover with a piece of plastic to make sure the UF2000 can work for a longer period, by not evaporating as quickly. After applying the UF2000 spray, the urine odour may become a bit stronger at first. This is because the urine is dissolving and being drawn to the surface.
• After several hours, remove the plastic, and dab the wet area with a paper (kitchen) towel.
• Repeat these steps over a number of days, until the urine stain is no longer visible or until the odour has gone. In some cases 3 to 4 treatments may be required.
